Well the babies have arrived. We were outside this weekend and heard a little squeaking sound so we carefully looked and sure enough they hatched. Logan said they looked like vultures !!! It was very funny, I have to agree with him they are not very cute at all. We will keep updating the pics.

BBQ Anyone???
So on Mother's day we had decided to bbq for dinner. I went out to light the bbq and low and behold it was full of a birds nest. My first thought was what are we going to do now. We love to cook on our bbq. Brandon said we should just throw the eggs and nest away, that is until we saw all the lovely bird poop. The sad thing is the eggs haven't even hatched yet so it is only going to get worse. The boys are so excited that we are now going to have baby birds. So as if the nest in the bbq isn't bad enough we are now being buzzed by the mommy and daddy bird on a daily basis when we go out into the backyard. I hope the eggs hatch soon.

Baseball !!!
Logan and Riley had their first baseball games on Saturday. Riley's was at 8:00 am we absolutely froze. He had such a hard time holding on to the ball. He had on a sweatshirt, his baseball shirt, a jacket, and a hoodie and he was still freezing. Even though it was cold he still managed to hit the ball and have a fun game. Logan's game was later in the day at 3:00 pm it was still cold, but not nearly as bad as when Riley played. Logan got his first hit off the pitching machine and made it to 2nd base. Then next hit he was able to run in to home. His team did a great job and really tried hard, but in the end they lost 8-21. All in all it was a great day of baseball.
Well we got our tile laid, with the exception of by our front window, door, and closet. We were short tile and could not finish, we had to order more and will finish this weekend. I'm just glad that we had enough tile to do the area where the cabinets go. Today the cabinets have been getting installed. I feel like I am finally get my kitchen some what back. By tonight I will have a stove, a fridge, and a pantry. YEAH !!!!!!! I can hardly contain my excitement. We will not have countertops for another week, but I can live with that I think.

Easter 2008
We didn't have a kitchen for Easter this year so we went to our friends house to dye eggs with the kids. They all had a lot of fun and even managed to stay dye free. On Easter morning we woke up and the kids found their baskets before we headed to the in-laws for an egg hunt. It was a really laid back Easter and without a kitchen we had Easter dinner at KFC. What an Easter to remember.
CONSTRUCTION BEGINS !!!!!
We decided that we wanted to redo our kitchen and make our house a little more open. So on March 17th our construction began!!! We are having to do all our own rip out so needless to say our lives are upside down at the moment. I am to the point that I never want to see another fast food joint again!!! My house is covered in at least 2 inches of dust everywhere, and we are using our living room as a small make shift kitchen. The only meals we haven't been eating out are breakfast and some lunches. The date for the project to be done is set at April 17th and we are all keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes on schedule. I can't wait for the finished product, but even more just to have a kitchen back and my house back to normal as possible.
Beaver Dam
In March we were able to take a small vacation to Beaver Dam which is just outside St. George. My Dad and step-Mom have a second home there that we stayed at with them. We were gone from March 10th until March 16th. I stayed with my boys until Thursday afternoon then drove to Vegas to be with Brandon while he was there for work. The boys were able to have time with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days without mom and dad for the first time. This was a big accomplishment not only for me but for my dad and step-mom. They did an amazing job with Logan and I really had no need to worry about it. We all had a great time and we even got to celebrate my dads 60th birthday while we were there.

Sleding 2008
Since our boys got sleds for Christmas we decided to take them sleding for the first time ever. The first time down the hill they were both whinning about the cold because the snow went up in their faces. After about 5 mins. of seeing everyone else there having fun they decided to stay and try again. They had a blast and after 3 hours we finally got them to come home. They even got so comfortable going down by themselves that they both even went off a little jump and stayed on the sled. I had forgotten how much fun it is to go sleding. They boys can't wait to go again.
Christmas 2007 !!!
Our Christmas this year was so good. We spent Christmas Eve at my sister Tammy's house with our whole family. We all had a great time with lots of food, fun, and presents. Even the weather couldn't put a damper to the night. Santa came to our house and the kids couldn't have been more excited. Our boys woke up at 8:30a.m., we opened presents as a family and then I made our Christmas breakfast. My dad and my step-mom came for breakfast and we had a nice relaxing morning before it was off to the rest of the families. We spent the afternoon at my in-laws and a great time was had by all. It was great to spend time as a family. At around 5:00p.m. we headed off to my dads house. We had plenty more fun when we got there. There were loads of presents and a ton of food too. My parents bought our boys sleds and by the end of the night the had figured out that they could ride them down the stair case at my dads. When we got home that night our car was packed so full we could barely see out the back, what a Christmas. The best part was that we were able to all be together as a family and have a great time together.
My Christmas Addiction !!!!

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I get a little carried away with decorating, thanks to my Nana. When I was little my Nana put a village up under her tree every year. She started her village in 1945, the original houses she started with were little cardboard houses. She bought a set of 7 little houses with a church and it cost her $1.00. Through the years she just started collecting more houses and changing over to glass instead of cardboard. It was always one of my favorite parts of Christmas to go and help put up her village. I always knew I wanted to do a village of my own. Then about 5 years ago the village became too much work for my Nana and she decided to give it up. She split the village between my Mom, my sister, my Aunt, and me. I have slowly added houses every year since, but out of sentimental reasons I still find room in the village every year for at least 3 of her original cardboard houses. Surprisingly enough my kids have left my village alone every year, even when they were little. Brandon jokes all the time that if it gets any bigger I'm going to need a seperate room just for my village.
